Addison Project was established in 1997 with the acquisition of the former ICI Hillhouse Projects Group.

Our capabilities are broad, Construction Design Management (CDM), Safety, Health & Environment, Sustainability and Quality (HSSEQ) direction and commissioning and start-up are part of our services. We continually develop and refine our UKAS accredited systems, procedures and specifications for the management and control of engineering, procurement, construction of process and industrial facilities worldwide.

Through our ICI background our original work was unsurprisingly based on the chemical process industry and the services required by those plants.
Since our establishment in 1997 we have been able to steadily grow the industries that we serve and without losing any focus of our key strengths. Over the years we have gained experience working in process led industries including Nuclear, Power, Utilities, Pharmaceutical, Food, Brewing, Paper, Waste, Soap & Detergents, Oil, Energy and Glass. In each instance we have satisfied the varying standards and specifications and in doing so been able to transfer learning from one industry to another.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Marcus has been a mainstay of Addison since the Project arm was formed in 1997. With a strong background in contract and cost management, Marcus is able to support the business from a commercial stance and his skills are often utilised when setting up major contracts on behalf of our clients. He is actively involved in the day-to-day management and customer facing elements and a driving force across the whole group.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
With over 40 years experience in Engineering management, Steve has recently taken over as head of the senior management team. Steve has the pivotal role of shaping the business, developing the organisational structure to achieve excellence in quality of service and maximum efficiency and will motivate and focus the teams to implement the company’s vision. Steve’s role will include, making sure that the company follows a path of continuous improvement, sustained business growth and commercial success.
QUALITY ASSURANCE DIRECTOR
Following an extensive career at ICI after joining as an apprentice, Richard came on board with Addison at the very start. He recently moved across from his longstanding Engineering role to take up this new position. One of the drivers of the business that has made us the company that we are today.
ENGINEERING DIRECTOR (DARESBURY)
Ian is a Chartered Chemical Engineer who originally joined Addison in 2019 as the Engineering Design Manager at the Daresbury Park office, bringing a huge amount of Project Management, Process Engineering and Operational Management experience to the business. He accepted the Engineering Director role in 2021 and it has been a seamless transition, strengthening the management team and providing new impetus to the operational side of the business.
ENGINEERING DIRECTOR (HILLHOUSE)
Dave joined the team in late 2022 and stepped into the head role at our Hillhouse office shortly after. He is an apprentice trained engineer with an electrical and mechanical background and brings with him a wealth of experience from within Operations, Maintenance, Process Improvement and Project Management. Dave is passionate about driving culture towards world class and strives to bring about improvements in productivity and quality. He has spent his career working in various sectors including Automotive, Chemical and Food and Drink Manufacturing.
ENGINEERING DIRECTOR (NORTH EAST)
Alex is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with experience covering a broad range of industries including LNG, LPG, Ammonia, large volume organic chemicals, upstream oil and gas, Biodiesel and speciality chemicals. Over his career he has worked for both contracting and operating companies. He started At Addison as a Process Engineer, stepping up to officially lead the process team in 2022. His success in that role has led to his appointment as Engineering Director for the North East in 2023.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Kevin has been the Business Development Director at Addison Project for over 20 years.
He is recognised as being a leading figure in the industry in his field and is responsible for bringing in new accounts, ensuring all existing accounts receive the best possible service, looking for potential acquisitions and seeking to expand the business throughout the UK.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Part of the team since 2007, Lee has recently handed over his Procurement activities and has taken up a new role as Business Development Director. He played an key role in establishing the Daresbury Park office and is actively involved in our growth across the UK.
GROUP SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR
Part of the team since 2020, Kevin has a host of experience in Business Development and Marketing from across the industrial sector and works across all of the Addison businesses. With a primary focus on growth for Project across the UK, he is a key player in our successful NE operation. He continues to work with the Precision arm from a commercial angle alongside delivering a Group wide Sales & Marketing Strategy taking us forwards in what is an exciting period for Addison as a whole.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (SOUTH)
Tim has over 30 years experience in Industry. Joining to expand our presence in the South of England, he brings a wealth of commercial, technical and practical experience on projects across all manufacturing sectors, large and small. Tim’s role is very much a hands on, face to face support to customers, showcasing the businesses wide engineering project capabilities.
CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR
Part of the team since 2006, Dean initially joined the business as a construction manager and has progressed through the company to head our operations on the Construction side of the business. Whilst also providing HSE support and guidance across all disciplines from the Hillhouse office, Dean takes on the responsibility for achieving excellence in customer service, along with supporting the business on the wider growth strategy.
OPERATIONS MANAGER – NORTH EAST
New to the team in 2020, Gina is our Operations Manager based in the North East office.
Gina has extensive recruitment experience sourcing professionals in the chemical, oil & gas, construction and engineering sectors, both within the UK and internationally. Gina is also a key player in supporting the management team with our employee resourcing requirement. She is passionate about the Process Industry and is enthusiastic about Addison’s future.
MARKETING & CSR DIRECTOR
Sophie has been a part of the Addison Team for many years providing support across the group. With an extensive creative background in education, Sophie has recently focused on improving our market visibility and helping to grow the Academy. Sophie supports the group in our business growth endeavours and is passionate about the whole Addison team and their capabilities. She is a very positive influence around the group and is proficient in finding solutions, with a commitment to delivering exceptional levels of customer service at the top of her list.
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Phil joined Addison in 2003 as an apprentice Mechanical Designer. He has undertaken multiple roles for the business, both in the office and on our client sites, gaining valuable experience. After leading the mechanical design section, Phil has progressed through the ranks to become Technical Director. He is focused on working with the Business Development team to ensure our proposals are of the highest quality, giving us the best possible chance of securing new work. Phil also continues to support all our mechanical design teams with his extensive knowledge of our design procedures and systems.
