Mark Verdon

Precision Managing Director


Mark joined Addison Precision in April 2019, bringing with him over 34 years of engineering and manufacturing experience. Beginning his career as a time-served CNC machinist, he has built extensive expertise across the engineering sector, from SME subcontract manufacturers through to senior supply chain and purchasing roles with Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace. As Managing Director, Mark is responsible for leading the continued growth and development of Addison Precision, driving investment in people, technology and capability while ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service. His broad industry knowledge, commercial insight and passion for engineering excellence play a key role in supporting customers across the aerospace, defence and precision engineering sectors.

Ray Lynch

Precision Account Manager

One of Addison Precision’s longest-serving team members, Ray joined the business in 1989 and has been an integral part of its success ever since. Beginning his career manufacturing gas turbine blades, vanes and bespoke machine tools, he built a strong technical foundation that continues to underpin his work today. Throughout his career at Addison, Ray has progressed through a variety of roles, gaining extensive experience across manufacturing, operations and  management before moving into his current position as Senior Account Manager for the Aerospace sector. This broad understanding of the business enables him to work closely with customers, providing practical engineering solutions and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. With decades of industry knowledge and a genuine commitment to building long-term client relationships, Ray is trusted for his technical expertise, customer-focused approach and dedication to delivering exceptional service.

Jayne Jackson

Supply Chain Lead

With nearly two decades at Addison Precision, Jayne has become an integral member of the team, bringing extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management and customer support. Having started her career in the injection moulding industry, she has developed a broad commercial and operational understanding that has been instrumental in her progression within the business. Today, Jayne oversees all procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently to support the successful delivery of projects. She also plays a key role in client account management, building strong relationships with customers and suppliers while providing essential support to the senior leadership team. Known for her organised approach, attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service, Jayne is dedicated to ensuring projects run smoothly and that clients receive the high standards of quality and reliability Addison Engineering is known for.

Ian Benson

Production Manager

Ian is our Production Manager and brings over 42 years of manufacturing experience, including extensive expertise in aerospace detail manufacturing. A time-served engineer, he has spent more than 35 years programming CNC machine tools and developing efficient production plans to support high-quality manufacturing. Six Sigma trained, Ian has a strong focus on process optimisation, waste reduction and continuous improvement, ensuring manufacturing operations are as efficient and effective as possible. In 2018, his commitment to operational excellence was recognised with a Business Leader Award for his work on the F-35 programme. With a proven track record in production planning, team leadership, process improvement and health and safety compliance, Ian is passionate about developing people as well as processes. His supportive leadership style encourages ownership, continuous learning and professional growth, helping teams achieve exceptional standards of quality and performance.

Steve Grimley

Quality Manager

Steve joined Addison Precision in 2023 as a Quality Engineer, bringing with him over 40 years of engineering and manufacturing experience. He began his career in 1979 as a Power Press Setter, supplying components to manufacturers including Austin Rover, Freight Rover and Land Rover. Throughout his career, Steve has worked across a variety of industries, including gear manufacturing, firearms and aerospace. Before joining Addison Precision Steve spent 12 years at Spirit AeroSystems in Prestwick as a First Article Manager. In March 2026, he was promoted to Quality Manager, where he now leads the company’s quality function, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and customer satisfaction.

Geoff Coulborn

Operations Director

Having been part of Addison Engineering since the company was founded, Geoff has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the business. As Operations Director, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service are maintained across every aspect of the operation. A hands-on leader who leads by example, Geoff remains closely involved in the practical delivery of projects, working alongside teams to ensure commitments are met and challenges are resolved efficiently. His wealth of engineering knowledge, practical experience and commitment to delivering on promises have earned the trust of both colleagues and clients alike. Passionate about teamwork, continuous improvement and building lasting customer relationships, Geoff is dedicated to ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the high standards that have become synonymous with Addison Engineering.

Lisa Smithson

Office Manager

Lisa has been a valued member of Addison Engineering for many years and brings over 18 years of experience in office management and administrative leadership. She plays a key role in ensuring the business operates efficiently, bridging the gap between technical project delivery and seamless business operations. Lisa oversees the day-to-day operations of Addison Engineering, including financial administration, project documentation, supplier coordination and supporting the engineering teams and their managers. Her organised approach, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities help keep projects running smoothly and ensure effective collaboration across the business. Passionate about delivering exceptional support, Lisa is an integral part of the team, helping to maintain the high standards of service and professionalism that our clients have come to expect from Addison Engineering.

Dale Newton

Pipeshop Manager

Dale leads our Pipework, Welding, Fabrication and Installation Department, overseeing a highly skilled team that delivers precision-engineered solutions across a wide range of industrial projects. With extensive experience in fabrication and installation, he is committed to delivering safe, high-quality work that meets the highest standards of workmanship and reliability. Working closely with clients and colleagues, Dale takes pride in finding practical engineering solutions and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, from manufacture through to installation and commissioning. His hands-on leadership style, commitment to continuous improvement and focus on customer satisfaction play a key role in maintaining Addison Engineering’s reputation for quality, safety and engineering excellence.

Philip Blundell

Sheetmetal Manager

Philip has been part of Addison Engineering for over 26 years, progressing from apprentice to Manager of the Sheet Metal and Fabrication Department. His career reflects both his passion for engineering and Addison’s commitment to developing talent from within. Today, Philip leads a skilled team in delivering high-quality sheet metal and fabrication solutions for a wide range of industrial projects. With a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement, he ensures every project is completed to the highest standards while meeting the specific needs of our customers. Passionate about developing the next generation of engineers, Philip enjoys mentoring apprentices and sharing his knowledge and experience with the wider team. His dedication to teamwork, craftsmanship and engineering excellence continues to play an important role in Addison Engineering’s ongoing success.

Lee Heron

Managing Director

Lee is Managing Director of Addison Project, leading the business’s strategic growth, client relationships and project delivery across the energy, utilities, chemicals, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. With extensive experience in engineering consultancy and project delivery, Lee is passionate about building long-term partnerships and helping clients successfully deliver complex capital projects in highly regulated environments. Under his leadership, Addison Project continues to strengthen its reputation for safe, practical and commercially focused engineering solutions. Lee is committed to fostering a collaborative culture built on integrity, innovation and exceptional client service, ensuring Addison Project remains a trusted partner for some of the UK’s leading industrial organisations.

Dave McMahon

Operations Director

Dave joined the business in 2022 and now leads operational performance as Operations Director. An apprentice trained engineer with mechanical and electrical qualifications, he brings over 40 years’ experience across complex manufacturing environments. Dave has held senior engineering and operations roles, delivering largescale improvement and transformation programmes in Automotive, Chemical and Food & Drink sectors. He has a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, productivity and quality and is passionate about developing people and building high performance cultures. With a pragmatic, data driven approach, Dave aligns people and processes to support sustainable business growth.

Ian Dolan

Technical Director

Ian has been part of the Addison team since 2019, initially leading the Daresbury engineering design team before becoming Engineering Director and now Technical Director across the group. With over 30 years’ experience in the chemical industry as a Chartered Chemical Engineer, he brings deep industry knowledge from manufacturing, project management and engineering design. As Addison’s leading technical authority, Ian supports design teams across all four offices while working closely with clients at the earliest stages of projects, shaping scopes, developing proposals and building strong, collaborative partnerships.  His focus is on ensuring Addison delivers technically robust, wellmanaged projects. 

Dean Barker

Construction Director

Part of the team since 2006, Dean initially joined the business as a construction manager and has progressed through the company to head our operations on the Construction side of the business.  Whilst also providing HSE support and guidance across all disciplines from the Hillhouse office, Dean takes on the responsibility for achieving excellence in customer service, along with supporting the business on the wider growth strategy.  

Gina Peacock

Operations Manager – North East

Gina joined the business in 2020 and plays a pivotal role in supporting the continued growth and success of both the Northeast region and the wider business. Gina leads the recruitment and employee resourcing strategy, ensuring Addison attracts, retains and develops the talent required to support our clients and business objectives. She works closely with senior leadership teams, providing operational support and strategic workforce planning to meet the evolving needs of the business. Gina is passionate about building strong, long-term relationships and takes pride in delivering exceptional service, helping clients access the specialist expertise they need to successfully deliver their projects. As a strong advocate for the Northeast and the UK process sector, she is committed to driving regional growth, supporting local industry and strengthening Addison’s presence across the region while contributing to the wider success of the business.

Tim Sellicks

Tim has over 30 years experience in Industry. Joining the Addison team in 2024, Tim’s remit is to expand our presence in the South. He opened up our Harlow office in Spring of 2025 and has overseen our growth in the region in securing Key strategic Framework agreements as well as new clients across Industry, building a team driven to succeed. Tim has also taken on a key National account management role with strategic clients across the business. Tim brings a wealth of commercial, technical and practical experience on projects across all manufacturing sectors, large and small. Tim’s role is very much about supporting customers and showcasing the businesses wide engineering capabilities.

Zoe Young

Business Development Manager

Zoe is a Business Development Manager at Addison Project, based in Middlesbrough, where she looks after client relationships and new business across the North East and wider UK. She began her career as an apprentice on a toptier COMAH site, gaining firsthand experience in highly regulated industrial environments before moving into business development. With strong B2B experience within engineering and technical services, Zoe works closely with clients to understand their challenges and connect them with the right expertise across the Addison group. Alongside her BD role, she supports Addison’s marketing and brand activity, helping to raise the company’s profile and showcase the depth of capability across the wider team. 

Richard Horrocks

Quality Assurance Director

Following an extensive career at ICI after joining as an apprentice, Richard came on board with Addison at the very start. He recently moved across from his longstanding Engineering role to take up this new position. One of the drivers of the business that has made us the company that we are today.

Marcus Addison

Chief Executive Officer

Marcus has been a key part of the Addison Group since the Project business was established in 1997 and now leads the Group as CEO. With a strong background in contract and cost management, he brings significant commercial expertise and plays an important role in shaping major client agreements and wider business strategy. Marcus remains closely involved in the day-to-day running of the business and maintains a strong customer-facing presence across the group. He is passionate about fostering a positive culture and strong company ethos, underpinned by high standards, integrity and accountability. Marcus is also a strong advocate for sustainable business practices, ensuring that growth is delivered responsibly while supporting both our people and the long-term needs of our clients. His leadership, experience and values continue to be a driving force behind Addison’s ongoing success. 

Cyril Clark

Financial Director

Cyril joined the Addison Group in March 2016 and has been a key member of the senior leadership team ever since. An FCCA-qualified accountant with over a decade of experience in senior financial leadership, he brings a wealth of commercial and strategic expertise to the business.Before joining Addison, Cyril worked as a Client Manager for a large Chartered Accountancy Practice, managing a diverse portfolio of SME clients with turnovers of up to £50 million. This broad experience across multiple industries has given him a strong commercial understanding and the ability to support sustainable business growth.As Finance Director, Cyril oversees the Group’s financial strategy, reporting and governance, ensuring the business maintains strong financial controls while supporting investment, operational performance and long-term growth. Working closely with the leadership team, he provides strategic financial insight that helps drive informed decision-making across the Group.Known for his approachable nature and attention to detail, Cyril plays a vital role in supporting the continued success and development of the Addison Group.

Emma Guthrie

HR & Learning and Development Manager

Emma joined Addison in 2022 as the HR & Learning and Development Coordinator and quickly progressed into the Group Management role, reflecting her commitment to driving positive change across the business. Since joining, Emma has played a key role in enhancing HR processes, procedures and practices, helping to create a more efficient and consistent employee experience. She also led the development of the internal Addison Academy, a structured eLearning platform that supports employee onboarding, mandatory training and ongoing professional development. Alongside overseeing the internal learning platform, she has been instrumental in the development of Addison Academy’s external training provision. With a passion for both HR and learning and development, Emma is dedicated to encouraging a positive workplace culture, supporting employee growth and ensuring people have the tools, knowledge and opportunities to succeed. She is committed to delivering fair, consistent and compliant HR practices that support both employees and the wider business.

Sophie Addison

ESG and Marketing Director

Sophie has been a valued member of the Addison Group for many years, providing support across marketing, ESG and a range of wider business functions. With a strong creative background spanning education and marketing, she leads initiatives to enhance brand visibility across the group and plays a key role in the ongoing development of the Addison Academy. Sophie also supports wider business development activity, bringing energy, insight and a highly collaborative approach. A passionate advocate for ESG, she helps shape and promote the Group’s responsible and sustainable practices. Known for her positivity and problemsolving mindset, Sophie is committed to championing the team’s capabilities and delivering consistently high standards.
