Project Manager – Addison Project, Harlow
Over the past 25 years, Addison Project has become an established Engineering Design House, offering Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services, to a diverse range of clients across the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food & beverage and nuclear sectors.
Job Type: Permanent Staff / Contract
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:10pm.
Location: Office Based, Harlow, Essex.
The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join Addison as part of our engineering design team in our new North London office, in Harlow. Working closely with our other three design offices in Thornton Cleveleys, Warrington and Middlesbrough, you will join an established team delivering a range of projects throughout the UK for a diverse client base within the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Food & Beverage manufacturing industries.
About you:
- It is essential you have experience of managing small to medium sized projects, preferably on chemical / petrochemical / pharmaceutical or COMAH sites, however other relevant experience will be considered.
- As the lead for the Harlow office, you will have experience in managing small multi-discipline teams.
- You must be able to demonstrate proven project management experience; have familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards. Preferably backed up by project management qualifications.
- You must possess a minimum of HND in an engineering discipline, preferably a degree.
- Project engineering skills with planning & organising capability and attention to detail, is key for this role.
- You must also be familiar with the use of project management principles and have practical experience of NEC contracts or similar.
- You must have experience of managing budgets and resources, preferably within a design environment.
- You should also have experience of interpreting customer requirements and converting these into deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
- You will be supporting the Engineering Directors and working with multidisciplinary engineering design and construction teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- This role is client facing and site visits will be necessary to support the Business Development team to explore new opportunities.
- Although this is predominantly a design management role, experience on all phases of the project, would be beneficial; FEED, quality, planning, installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
