Thornton Cleveleys Friends of Trinity Hospice raised over £7000 with their Diamond Delights concert this summer. The musical concert was held at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood and raised £7051.40, all of which has been donated to Trinity via the Thornton Friends Group.
Elaine Midgley, organiser of Diamond Delights, was delighted with the event and praised the hard work of the amazing team of people at Thornton Cleveleys Friends of Trinity Hospice for helping to make the event the success it was, and gave thanks to all the supporting businesses and people.
Many local businesses, including ourselves here at Addison, happily donated raffle prizes and financial support to raise much needed funds for this deserving cause and we hear that nearly 3000 raffle tickets were sold prior to, and at the event.
It is a hard fact that between 2020 – 2021, income from donations and charity shops fell by more than £850,000, whilst the hospice costs increased by nearly £100,000 so it is easy to see that the money raised from this event will help in a small way.
The Thornton Cleveleys Friends of Trinity Hospice Group meet on the first Tuesday of most months at 7pm, at Thornton Methodist Church. They have also recently started a Younger Person’s Section so if you are interested in receiving further information you can follow the group’s Facebook page or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
