The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join Addison in our Head Office, Thornton-Cleveleys, working across all of our business, Addison Engineering, Addison Project, Addison Precision and Addison Academy. Working with minimal supervision you will be supporting the Finance Director.

About you:

This role would suit an AAT Fully qualified  and or a part qualified or fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA Accountant.

  • Strong knowledge of Financial Management principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software packages
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Confident and proactive
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and communication skills

Job Description:

  • Preparation of monthly management information
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns of year accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts and support with year-end audit procedures
  • Processing bank reconciliations
  • Purchase Ledger functions including processing supplier payments
  • Credit Control activities including chasing overdue accounts where required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
  • Maintain and improve financial systems and procedures
  • Any ad-hoc tasks or projects as and when required
