Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking to recruit a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer to join our Middlesbrough team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager seeking their next challenge, or a Senior Project Engineer looking to progress into a project management role within a supportive and highly respected engineeringย organisation.ย
You will work alongside our multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, leading projects from concept through to completion whilstย maintainingย the highest standards of safety, quality, costย controlย and client satisfaction.ย
The Roleย
You willย be responsible forย the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuringย objectivesย are met safely,ย efficientlyย and commercially.ย
Key Responsibilitiesย
- Manage engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.ย
- Develop project execution strategies,ย schedulesย and budgets.ย
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate project activities.ย
- Maintain project controls, monitoring progress against scope,ย costย andย programme.ย
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.ย
- Identifyย and manage project risks and opportunities.ย
- Support commercial management, changeย controlย and reporting activities.ย
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders.ย
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, clientย requirementsย and relevant legislation.ย
- Support business development activities,ย proposalsย and tender submissions whereย required.ย
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and project team members.ย
What We Are Looking Forย
Essentialย
- Degree,ย HNDย or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.ย
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects within theย processย industries, including sectors such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy or similar.ย
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.ย
- Excellentย organisational,ย communicationย and stakeholder management skills.ย
- Experience managing project budgets,ย schedulesย and resources.ย
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively across all project functions.ย
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving.ย
- Previousย experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineerย in the UK onshore Process Sectorย
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies.ย
- Experience managing designย engineeringย and construction activities.ย
- Professional membership or working towards chartershipย is desirable.ย
- Understanding ofย CDM Regulations and process industry standards.ย
