Role: Electrical Designer
Status: Contract 12 months
Start date: Spring 2026
Location: Thornton-Cleveleys
Addison Project Plc is seeking a (PSC) contractor to provide Electrical Design services for a period of 12 months based in our head office at Thornton Cleveleys.
Workscope
- Electrical Design, including cables and supports
- Design of electrical (LV) supplies and switchgear
- Support HV design
- Design / Specification of MCC and Layout
- Preparation of block diagrams, termination diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, earthing diagrams, DB SLD’s.
- 2D/3D Cable routing drawings & layouts
- Preparation of I/O & cable schedules
- Verification & checking of documentation & drawings
- Vendor liaison
- Communication with Addison Project internal multidiscipline teams
- Site meetings and surveys
Experience Required
- You must possess suitable and relevant qualifications within EC&I, minimum of an HNC preferably a degree.
- Experience completing electrical or control and instrumentation design
- It is essential that you have experience of electrical design with respect to MMC, LV distribution, lighting and earthing preferably within the Chemical, Petrochemical, and/or Oil and Gas sector.
- A good working knowledge of ATEX Directives for selection and installation of control and electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas would be beneficial.
- You must have experience attending and representing at Project Meetings with a range of stakeholders.
- Appreciation of cable calculations.
