Role: Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer
Status: Contract, 6 months
Start Date: July 2026
Location: Cambridgeshire
Addison Project Plc is seeking expressions of interest from (PSC) contractors to provide Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering (C&I bias) services for a period of 6 months for site based works in Cambridgeshire. This opportunity is site based where you will work Monday to Friday on site with flexibility required for nightshifts and weekends to support ongoing maintenance, future projects and commissioning works.
Services to be provided
- On site, surveys to review current and future project status
- Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Cable routing drawings & cable schedules
- Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering Design
- Electrical cable diagrams, Loop diagrams
- Electrical, Control & Instrumentation installation Scope of Work documents
- Electrical, Control & Instrumentation datasheets
- Checking and approval of Engineering Design
- Prepare vendor packs for invitation to tender and vendor liaison
- Technical evaluations of estimates
- Project engineering support to current and future onsite projects – on going maintenance and future site upgrades
- Technical assistance on equipment specifications and compliance of bids
- Reports, cost management and equipment allocation
Person specification
- You must possess suitable and relevant qualifications within EC&I, minimum of an HNC, preferably a degree.
- Experience of relevant calculations, problem solving and ensuring projects remain to specification within set timescales and to budget
- A good working knowledge of ATEX Directives for selection of electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas would be beneficial.
- You must have experience attending and representing at Project Meetings with a range of stakeholders.
- You must have worked on site previously in the process or manufacturing sector and be familiar with on site project engineering and maintenance engineering support works
- You must be within travelling distance of Cambridgeshire as shift patterns will be required including nightshifts and weekend working – project status will drive these requirements
