Preparing for Growth


It may not have escaped notice that Addison continues to grow its market presence. 2021, although challenging, was a very exciting year for the business and, as with many growing companies, we continue to make changes to help manage our future direction.

Building for the Future

We have an offering that we believe differentiates us from the market by consistently delivering exceptional levels of customer service and support, the highest levels of quality, adding value not cost and protecting our clients’ best interests. This is something quite different and fresh compared to many others in this field. Marketing and sales efforts continue to be bolstered and we have made a number of organisational changes, ensuring that we excel whilst meeting our ambitious growth targets.

Together with our existing offices at Hillhouse, Daresbury and Teesside, we are already looking to expand further afield and have several further office locations in our sights, along with business acquisitions to complement existing and forthcoming projects elsewhere in the UK.

We are therefore delighted to announce that the following organisational changes and new appointments have been made:

To support the business strategy, Marcus Addison will take the role of Chief Executive Officer and will spend time to develop the vision and direction of the company to help the business grow, focusing on major decisions to support the business strategy and approval of expenditure. He will also continue looking at innovation, new products & services, business acquisitions, and setting up new ventures to compliment our existing operations and will seek out new office locations to support the business growth strategy.

Steve Davies becomes Managing Director of Addison Project across all operations and office locations. Steve has the pivotal role of shaping the business, developing the organisational structure to achieve excellence in quality of service and maximum efficiency and will motivate and focus the teams to implement the company’s vision. Steve’s role will include, making sure that the company follows a path of continuous improvement, sustained business growth and commercial success.  He will develop our services, achieve the company’s goals and objectives and make sure deadlines are respected and our people are trained and developed to become the very best they can be, to deliver the right results to achieve the business strategy for growth.

Lee Heron moves out of his procurement position and will focus solely on business development. Lee becomes the head of the business development operations as Business Development Director and will lead a team to deliver the growth targets and vision which the business has set.

Ian Dolan is to become the Engineering Director for the Daresbury Office and has the responsibility for the output of the office relating to quality, delivery and efficiency and to support the business as a whole to achieve the business strategy for growth.

Dean Barker has been promoted to become the Engineering Director for the Hillhouse Office. Dean still retains his construction responsibilities, whilst also providing the support and guidance across all disciplines from the Hillhouse office. Dean takes on the responsibility for achieving excellence in customer service from the Hillhouse office, along with supporting the business on the wider business growth strategy.

Phil Bates undertakes a new position for the company as Technical Director. Working with the business development team to support our technical proposals, so that our tender responses are the best they can be, to give the company the very best chance of success in winning bids, whilst getting all our pricing, consistent, correct and limiting our risks. This role will encompass the account management of key clients and Phil will also continue to support the mechanical departments from his expertise of 3D design through to undertaking the project engineering role on specific projects.

Jordan Senha will now lead both the Mechanical and Electrical design departments and co-ordinate all design activities from the Hillhouse office. Jordan becomes M&E Engineering Manager and the role will make sure that the production of our design delivery output is of the highest quality and error free, whilst achieving our delivery targets. The role will make sure the departments run as efficiently as possible to come under budgets/targets and that communication is high and the teams are well co-ordinated and managed. He will develop and manage a team of technically proficient and highly motivated & disciplined engineers, focused on achieving high performance. Jordan will be looking to embrace new innovative technologies and techniques, so that we continuously improve our design services to achieve an excellent level of customer service.
