Workscopeย
The Senior Project Engineer will work alongside our multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, leading projects from concept through to completion whilstโฏmaintainingโฏthe highest standards of safety, quality, costโฏcontrolโฏand client satisfaction.โฏ The scope is for a 12 month duration and can be based in either our Middlesbrough, Daresbury. Harlow or Thornton-Cleveleys offices.
Services to be providedย
- Develop project execution strategies,โฏschedulesโฏand budgets.โฏย
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate project activities.โฏย
- Maintain project controls, monitoring progress against scope,โฏcostโฏandโฏprogramme.โฏย
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.โฏย
- Identifyโฏand manage project risks and opportunities.โฏย
- Support commercial management, changeโฏcontrolโฏand reporting activities.โฏย
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders.โฏย
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, clientโฏrequirementsโฏand relevant legislation.โฏย
- Project Planning and Design: Developing project scopes, designing chemical processes, and creating detailed engineering plansย
- Project Management and Coordination for small projects: Overseeing project timelines, managing budgets, and coordinating cross-functional teamsย
- Quality Control and Assurance: Ensuring compliance with industry standards and conducting testing and validation processes.ย
- Technical Expertise: Applying knowledge of chemical processes, materials, and equipment to optimize project outcomes and solve engineering challenges.ย
- Compliance Management: Ensuring all project activities adhere to industry regulatory requirements, environmental standards and safety protocols.ย ย

Experience & Qualificationsย
- Degree,โฏHNDโฏor equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.โฏย
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects within theโฏprocessโฏindustries, including sectors such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy or similar.โฏย
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.โฏย
- Excellentโฏorganisational,โฏcommunicationโฏand stakeholder management skills.โฏย
- Experience managing project budgets,โฏschedulesโฏand resources.โฏย
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively across all project functions.โฏย
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving.โฏย
- Previousโฏexperience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineerโฏin the UK onshore Process Sectorโฏย
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies.โฏย
- Experience managing designโฏengineeringโฏand construction activities.โฏย
- Professional membership or working towards chartershipโฏis desirable.โฏย
- Understanding ofโฏCDM Regulations and process industry standards.โฏย
