We were approached to complete design and build of this skid unit, including detailed design of the vessels, skid frame, pipework and E,C &I control system. The client approached Addison as a ‘one stop shop’ for the entire design, manufacture and delivery. The design needed to consider the space available for the skid to be situated within the existing plant environment, maintenance access, location of existing services tie ins and operator access for each item on the skid. The design also considered the transportation of the skid to site, as this included driving under a pipe bridge that isn’t high enough for the fully assembled skid, so we designed in a break point for it to be disassembled and re-assembled once delivered.
This skid is a dosing skid, supplied to dose low temperature chemicals into an initiator vessel via a metering pump and flowmeter to ensure the correct, finite doses are applied to the process. It will be installed local to an initiator vessel and will feed directly into the initiator.
Having our design and build teams on the same site assists with timescales, quality and delivery.
